Taubie was one of the most flamboyant directors in Johannesburg.
Her personality, charisma and talent was only surpassed by her extraordinary flare for spectacular directions. She worked tirelessly for the National Theatre with such productions as: the National Theater's "She Stoops to Conquer" by Oliver Goldsmith.
She directed a vast number of plays over the years, as a highly successful producer/director - even after her death, her reputation as a formidable and talented force in the theatre at that time still lives on today.
